이어 서 대표는 “모터와 발전기술 보유업체와의 기술협력을 통해서도 1회 충전으로 1000km를 주행할 수 있는 전기자동차 개발도 완성 단계에 있습니다. 아울러, 스위스와 일본의 유수 기업과는 시속 250-350km로 달리는 전기자동차를 융복합 기술을 적용하여 개발완료 단계에 있을 뿐만 아니라 이와 같은 융복합기술은 선박과 무인비행체에도 적용 중이며, 현재 충남 서천군 본사에서 시연회가 준비 중입니다.”라고 밝혔다.

 

이외에도 ㈜자연에너지사업은 탄소나노 섬유 전문 기업과 협력을 통해 새로운 수소발생장치를 개발할 예정이며, 스위스 비행체 개발업체와 융합해 8인승 드론 제품을 양산할 계획도 갖고 있다고 전했다. 서 대표는 “융복합기술이 적용될 에너지 분야는 무궁무궁합니다. 이외에도 풍력발전기 분야에서도 획기적인 증폭기술 등을 융복합해 새로운 형태의 제품을 선보일 예정입니다. 선박 쪽에서는 200마력이 넘는 모터를 개발할 기술을 융합하고 있고요. 이런 모든 기술은 앞으로 가정에서도 적용이 가능해 70% 이상 에너지 절감 효과를 가져 올것으로 예상하고 있습니다.”고 피력했다.

27여년의 긴 세월 동안 에너지 분야에 몸담았다는 서용석 대표는 10년간은 에너지사업을 진행하며 기술력을 차츰차츰 확보했고, 이를 토대로 해답을 얻어 이후 17년간 한국뿐 아니라 독일, 일본, 스위스, 러시아, 필리핀, 말레이시아 등 국내외 최고의 박사 15명과 만나 함께 보일러, 온풍기, 냉난방기, 전기발전기 등을 직접 만들고 실험하며 융복합 기술을 연구, 개발했다. ‘남들은 박사라고 칭하기도 하는데, 박사라기엔 남들보다는 배움이 짧다’며 너털웃음을 짓는 서용석 대표.

서 대표의 포용력이 드러나는 부분이다. 이 같은 맥락에서 그는 시장을 독점하지 않고, 경쟁 기업에 기술을 전수하고 생산을 서로 나누고 공생하며 ‘윈윈’의 전략을 추구할 계획이란다.
