Bongwon temple, the headquarter of Korean 'Taego‘ Order, will performance multi-art based Buddhism ceremony, named 'Yeongsan-jae' from 10:00 AM on June 6/2007.
The 'Yeongsan-jae' ceremony consists of dancing, singing, and druming by monks, based on the historical Buddha 'Sakyamuni's delivery of the Lotus Sutura on Mt.Grdhrakuta more than 2,500 years ago.
And it has made it nationally designated 'Important Intangible Cultural Property No.50'
According to 'Bongwon temple', this year's performance aims for its official registration of UNESCO as international inheritance of culture to be remembered forever.
'We think Yeongsan-jae is very important, as one of our cultural properties. So it would indeed become something for all those to share in achieving peace and happiness' said Kim Jong-Min, Minister of Culture & Tourism.
