The Innsbruck Alpine Autumn events, taking place from 9 September until 28 October 2006, issue a standing invitation to experience the fabulous Tyrolean landscape in all its autumn glory.
Each day you will get to know such marvellous things like the quaint mountain lake in the Obernberg Valley or the Patscherkofel Mountain clad in autumn colours. If you are romantically inclined, you can become one with nature exploring the Navis Almrunde, a circuit hike meandering along the ‘valley of love’. Or take the roman-tic hike to the Ehrenbachklamm gorge at the Alpenpark Karwendel. This cornucopia of guided mountain hikes, including bus transfers, is free of charge for guests of Inns-bruck and its holiday villages. All you pay for is your cable-car ticket - and those deli-cious Tyrolean specialties that you are very likely to sample at a mountain refuge.
To pay tribute to autumn, a season that embraces all senses, Innsbruck’s holiday vil-lages have created a colourful programme. There will be farmer’s fairs, a cookery course on how to make scrumptious Tyrolean fare, musical events, guided farmhouse tours, as well as a fabulous cattle drive and village fair. At the village of Lans two-legged and four-legged hikers alike can join the fun taking ‘a holiday with your dog’, whereby doggy and master go for wonderful walks, attend presentations for dog-owners as well as playful dog training lessons.
