As the final judgment day approaches, the Korean government, the City of Yeosu and its citizens are making all-out efforts to support the coastal city's bid for the World Expo 2012.

Meanwhile, the Jeollanam-do office said it would launch nationwide promotional campaigns and send a delegation, including Jeollanam-do Governor Park Joon-yung, to France to stage promotional campaigns for Yeosu's 2012 World Expo bid.

According to local authority, Governor Park will go to Malaysia and Indonesia on Nov. 12 and France on Nov. 21 as the leader of the delegation to cultural functions attended by BIE member countries.

Yeosu is competing with Wroclaw, Poland, and Tangiers, Morocco. The final decision will be announced in Paris on Nov. 27, 2007.
