Taiwan's particular way to revitalize its economy has been spotlighted recently.

According to e-Taiwan Journal, President Ma Ying-jeou expressed his philosophy on Taiwan's economy, through luncheon speech at the Taipei office of Merrill Lynch, one of the world-wide leading financial management and advisory companies.

He said, Taiwan needs lots of public investment to expand domestic demand, and a full guarantee for bank deposits. So, Taiwan was the first in Asia to announce this measure, which had a tremendous effect on keeping the all banking system stable.

And He continued, Taiwanese people strongly have supported it.

"In the long term, we have other strategies. There are three things: First, industrial re-orientation. Second, the upgrading of infrastructure, and third, deregulation and globalization" He added.
