The semiar named 'Business opportunities in Malaysia' was held July 16 at Hotel Lotte from 9:00 AM, to show up Malaysia's fantastic business environment for Korean companies.
After Korean Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Energy's welcoming speech, Hon.Rafidah Aziz, the Minister of International Trade & Industry Malaysia had a keynote address for all attendants, more than 300 businessmen from the both.
She said 'Last year both Malaysia and Korea continued to record impressive growths, higher than the world average of 4%. So I note that Korea is doing well economically'
'Korea was the 11th largest exporter & 13th largest importer, while whole package and the realisation of ASEAN-Korea FTA would further facilitate cross border investment and expansion of trade to cover the service sector between Korea and ASEAN in general, and particularlly with Malaysia' she mentioned.
And reagrding the investment activities of Korea, she said 'As of April 2007, korea was the 8th largest investor in Malaysia, with USD 3.15 billion's amount'
'With me today, I hope that today's session will provide a conducive environment not only for the exchange and sharing of experience but also lay the conerstone for enhanced business realtionship' she added.
In the meantime, today's seminar has more 20 reporters, and followed by vigorous Q&A between Hon.Rafidah Aziz and many Korean businessmen.

양국간의 경제활동은 물론 투자를 통한 Win Win 전략을 소개하면서 현지의 성공기업의 스토리와 경험담이 공유 되었다.
이날 행사는 한국바이오벤쳐협회 박종세 회장의 개회사에 이어, 김영주 산업자원부 장관의 환영사, 그리고 Rafidah Aziz 말레이사아 통상산업부 장관의 기조연설이 있었다.
이어 말레이시아 내 최고 성공기업으로 손꼽히는 Kiswire SDN.BHD의 李利文 부사장의 투자성공 경험과 성공 노하우에 대한 실무적 사례설명이 있었다.
이날의 VIP 4인방은, 말레이시아 측에서는 Rafidah Aziz 통상산업부 장관, 다토 엠 산타나나반 주한 말레이시아 대사, 그리고 한국에서는 대기업의 경우 현지 투자를 성공한 고려그룹계열의 Kiswire 李利文 부사장, 중소기업의 경우 Mission Changwon의 송원록 사장 등이었다.
특히 말레이시아 투자를 고려중인 송원록 사장은 이 행사에서 현재 거래중인 말레이시아 현지 바이어를 만나 주위의 부러움을 함께 샀으며 주위 말레이시아 기업인들의 러브.콜도 상당히많이받았다.
