KOTRA’s Invest Korea holds ““Get to Know Korea”” event to help foreign residents

Understand the excellence of ““Korea’s beauty”” through a visit to Cosmetics & Beauty Expo Osong

On May 11, Invest Korea of KOTRA (President Oh Yeong-ho) in exclusive charge of attracting foreigners’ investment held an event of Cosmetics & Beauty Expo Osong Korea 2013for foreign residents.

Invest Korea, which had been focusing on activating the community of foreign residents and creating a friendly atmosphere for investment in Korea, held this event in an attempt for ““Get to Know Korea””project to provide an experience of Korean culture for their community.

Around 80 people participated in this event, including managers of foreign-invested companies and families of diplomatic missions. Through this event they had an opportunity to understand the history of beauty varying by age and region and excellence of Korea’s beauty captivating the world and experience Hallyu (““Korean Wave””) in the world and Korean traditional culture.

Invest Korea’s event of Get to Know Korea has so far provided foreign residents with an opportunity to experience Korean culture, such as hands-on experiences of kimchi making, Makgeolli drinking, rafting, porcelain and other colorful culture and leisure life of Korea. Shin Nam-shik, investment planning section chief of KOTRA’s Invest Korea, clarified, ““Through this event we had a good opportunity to show them the excellence of Korea’s cosmetics and Beauty industry and diverse cultures.””
