Negotiators for talks from six nations, aboutthe denuclearization of North Korea willgather in Beijing this week to discuss the provision of energy and economic assistance, according to an agreement to the communist nation in a deal signed in February, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said on December 10.
The working group talks, led and chaired by South Korea, willstart Tuesday and Wednesday (Dec. 11-12), said Cho Hee-yong, a spokesman for the ministry.
According to Ministry, the meeting will be chaired by Lim Sung-nam, deputy chief of South Korea’s delegation to the North Korea denuclearization talks, involving North Korea, the U.S., Japan, China and Russia, Cho said today.
