There was a New year's friendly talk with reporters, hosted by Guin-sa temple, the head temple of Buddhism's Cheontae-Order, on January 7 at Press Center in Seoul.
This press conference was made to explain the future portfolio on Korean Buddhist Cheontae-Order during this year, especially re-making Guin-sa temple as unique sanctuary of Cheontae-Order in Korea, as well as booming up Korea-China's exchange of Buddhist's culture.
'Last year we concluded an agreement with Chinese counterpart in Beijing for bilateral exchange of what we've researched and interpreted' said Venerable Jungsan(朱正山).
According to him, this year would be able to see more lubricated exchanges of the sutra-based study, including fellows of Chentae Order.
On top of that, Guin-sa would do social welfare services, with an aid from voluntary-based NGOs, for workers from different underdeveloped countries, Venerable Jungsan added.

천태종 신년 기자간담회가 7일 서울의 프레스 센터에서 열렸다.
천태종 총본산인 구인사가 주최한 이날 간담회는 2008년 천태종의 주요 사업계획및 복지사업, 그리고 중국 천태종과의 교류등에 관한 총체적인 설명으로 이어졌다.
천태종 朱正山 총무원장은 올해의 경우 특히 중국 천태종과의 교류와 외국인 근로자들을 위한 복지사업에 초점을 둘 것 이라며, 복지사업의 경우 NGO들과 연합해 진행 할 것이라고 덧붙였다.
천태종은 주지스님을 따로 두지않고 24시간 절을 개방하는데, 불교의 다른 종파와는 달리 일반신도들도 참선 프로그램에 쉽게 접근 할 수 있다.
